Their Mill of Kintail wedding was filled with vines on the ruins and soft shades of blush and creams to compliment the greenery. Lauren's bridal gown made of lace fit perfectly with her vision of woodsy and elegance.
Lauren got ready in her home in Carleton Place. Being a mother, she got her makeup and hair done as her toddler Riley was taking her morning nap. As soon as she woke up, she greeted everyone with her smiles and energy. Riley is just like her mom. A force and beauty to be reckoned with. Finally, it was time to leave for the Mill of Kintail Conservation Area. Where the ceremony was taking place.Kurtis and Lauren met at Crazy horse in Kanata. Having being chatting online for a bit, they decided to meet up. What unfolded between them was beyond what they could had imagine. Right there, they found their person. The ceremony was filled with tender and teary moments mixed with laughter. My heartstrings were being pulled at every sentence of their personal vows to each other.The weather called for rain on their wedding day. I always carry umbrellas in my car just in case. The bride and groom and their bridal party were so amazing. They were ready to celebrate with or without the rain.I had the privilege to not only be their Ottawa wedding photographer but also their family photographer. To have witnessed this slice of life with them was more than I could have asked for. Kurtis, Lauren and Riley, thank you so much for having me. You'll always have a very special place in my heart. In a few years, when Riley goes through you guys' wedding photos, I hope the photographs do your family justice. Most of all, I hope her heart remembers how much love there was that day.
