When Derek and Sasha told me they were having a Waupoos winery wedding, I couldn't hide my excitement. First, wine! Secondly, Waupoos Estates Winery & Restaurant has a lot of beautiful white walls. If you know anything about me, my clean and crisp style thrives with white coloured anything.Being an Ottawa wedding photographer who loves to travel, I was so excited to drive to Prince Edward County for this winery wedding. Funny enough, exactly a week later, Carrie Underwood attended a wedding at Waupoos winery. That's how beautiful and quaint this winery is.The bride and groom are so genuinely in love with each other, the rest of the world doesn't exist. Together, they had their little boy Jordan a few months before the wedding and he was involved every step of the way. I remember their Kingston engagement and Sasha being six months pregnant. It was such a joy to finally meet their son and see them interact as a family. Sasha got ready at the Farmhouse and walked down the aisle on the docks by the Sandbank river. They walk together as husband and wife in a cloud of bubbles and confetti.As a fun game to make the couple kiss, wedding guests had to come to the microphone and say one word in Russian as the bride is from Russia. Well, I'm really happy google translate exist because 'Vodka' would of been the only option for a lot of people. They ended the night with a beautiful waltz and more confetti at the end of their song.Derek and Sasha, there isn't enough words to describe how magical your wedding day was. What you guys have is truly special. I will always smile when I think of you. I'm the luckiest photographer in the world. Thanks for having me.
