Ottawa proposal photos
I've been taking photos of many family's most happy moments since I was eighteen years old. Almost eight years now. But last weekend, I was able to use my passion to benefit my own family. My brother was planning a surprise engagement. He was going to propose to his girlfriend at the place they had their first official date. And I was asked to hide in a bush and take their Ottawa proposal photos.
Being an Ottawa wedding photographer, I often witness the natural progression of relationships. It's one of my absolute favourite parts. But this time, I got to see it in a front row seat. Just like that, Jimmy took Alicia inside the gazebo. He got down on one knee and she said yes!Then, everyone came out of their hiding spot to celebrate the newly engaged couple. We called my sister Natasha who lives in Australia using FaceTime. After, we took time to do a few Ottawa proposal photos. They had a private romantic dinner just for them in the gazebo and we finished the night with karaoke. Singing anything from Eiffel 65 'I'm blue' to 'Blank space' by Taylor swift.This winter engagement was one for the books. Especially since, Jimmy is the last of my siblings to get married. After many many not so subtle hints from him, I'm happy to announce that I will photograph my brother's wedding. Yes, I will be their wedding photographer this summer. I'll need all the waterproof mascara I can get!
